Laser cutting VS Traditional cutting method
The mechanical cutter wheel of the traditional cutting method begins to expose the problems of slow cutting speed, low accuracy, and large raw edge damage when the special-shaped cutting is used. The laser cutting has obvious advantages in the above aspects, but there are still certain thermal effects. The laser pulse width of the ultrafine laser is further shortened, and the glass can be cut with less energy, thus causing less damage to the glass.
Laser cutting applications:
1. Sapphire and ceramic are common used in laser ,micro-processing and delicate processing, however, due to its hard texture and sensitivity to heat, it is difficult to complete with traditional manufacturing processes and needs to be micro-processed by ultrafast lasers.
2. Sapphire laser cutting: Sapphire is the second hardest material on the earth after diamond, it is difficult to use mechanical methods to process, need to use lasers to cut sapphire.
3.Ceramic material plasticity becomes smaller, material brittleness is large, easy to crack, expand to brittle fracture, so in the cutting process will cause collapse phenomenon, and even the entire workpiece scrap. Laser cutting can complete the fine processing of ceramic processing and reduce the crack generation.
4. Heart stent cutting
Because the wall tube of the heart stent is extremely thin, laser processing is usually used instead of conventional mechanical processing. However, the heart stents processed by laser ablation melt have a series of problems such as many burrs, non-uniform slot width, serious surface ablation and uneven rib width. In recent years, foreign enterprises have begun to use femtosecond laser for stent cutting.
In terms of medical beauty, ultrafine lasers can be used to remove pigments and native moles, remove tattoos, etc., and can also be used to improve the aging of the skin.
